Last week our virtual final took place for the S3 Youth and Philanthropy Initiative. Pupils in S3 RMPS classes have been busy choosing a social issue, contacting local charities in the Midlothian area based on this issue, then creating and filming presentations in the hope of securing a £3000 grant for the charity of their choice. I am delighted to announce that Ellie, Teagan and Shona won £3000 for the Samaritans of Edinburgh and the Lothians!
The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a powerful active citizenship programme, empowering young people to make a difference in their communities while developing a range of skills. We are incredibly proud of these young ladies and the difference they have made to a local charity.
