Congratulations to Craig Doyle and Michael Hood, S6 students 2020-21, who both won awards in this year’s Edinburgh and Lothians Schools Film Competition, hosted by the Edinburgh International Film Festival, for films created as part of their Media courses.
Craig won the award for Best Sound for his Higher Media assignment film ‘Isolated’, which featured a song written, performed and recorded by Craig himself. Michael won the award for Creativity During COVID for his NPA creative project film ‘qwertyuiop’.
The films were created during lockdown and Craig and Michael both showed real creativity and resourcefulness in adapting to the limitations this imposed.
