If you were born between 1 March 2000 and 28 February 2004 you may be eligible to receive EMA.  Forms are now available from the school office.

ITALY TRIP

Can pupils attending the Italy trip please make sure they have their room requests to Miss Graham by the end of the day on Thursday.  If your request is not in by this time, you will be randomly allocated to a room, and there will be no guarantee that you can move.

CROSS COUNTRY 2019

Well done to all the pupils who participated in our 5k cross country on Tuesday afternoon.  Fastest times were  S2 girl – 24mins 59 seconds and S5 boy – 24 minutes 52 seconds.

SCOTTISH SCHOOLS ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to our S2 pupil who represented Penicuik HS at the Scottish Schools Championships last weekend, competing in the 1500m.  She got through to the final and smashed her PB!  Fantastic performance – well done!

YOUNG AMBASSADORS

Thank you to everyone who applied and interviewed for the role of Young Ambassador for Sport.  The standard of application this year was really high – it’s great to see so many pupils passionate about sport in school.

Well done to the successful candidates.  Next term, they will represent Penicuik HS at the Regional Young Ambassador Conference at Murrayfield and already have lots of great ideas for next year!

EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL COMPETITION

7 films from Penicuik High School students have been chosen for the final round of the Edinburgh and Lothians school film competition. The chosen films will be screened at the Filmhouse Cinema in Edinburgh TODAY.  Congratulations to the film makers !
