YEAR OF KINDNESS
Have a good look through your clothes, books and old toys and see if you can donate something to a charity shop.
EDINBURGH COLLEGE OPEN DAYS FOR S4/S5/S6
Edinburgh College are hosting a range of Open Days inviting pupils to visit one or more of their campuses. This should give them the opportunity to explore the range of options on offer, find out more about life at College and support their future choices. As a school we have organised visits to take pupils to two out of the three campuses. There are also open sessions on each date at each of the three campuses from 4:00pm-6.30pm should any pupil wish to attend with their parents or guardians.
The Open Days are taking place as follows:
Date Campus Times
Thursday 7 December Granton Open Evening 4-6pm
Tuesday 12 December Milton Road School visit leaving at 10am – returning to school for 12.30pm
Thursday 14 December Sighthill School visit leaving at 10am – returning to school for 12.30pm
Each campus will have information points for pupils to discuss their areas of interest as well as presentations and tours of the facilities. Any pupil in S4/S5/S6 who is considering applying to Edinburgh College and therefore interested in going on one of these visits should collect a permission form from the guidance base, one of the guidance team or Careers Advisors. We will be limited to one coach load of pupils and staff per visit so you will need to get your permission form completed and returned as soon as possible to secure your place. Please make sure you indicate which of the two visits you would like to go on. If there is availability for you to attend both campuses, we will allow this but please state your preference. There are also January start courses for anyone in S5 or 6 who is considering leaving after Christmas.

REMINDER – PREP FOR EMPLOYMENT GROUP
Ross will be back in school TODAY so the group will resume. A reminder that you should go to Community room 4 instead of going to the library due to the S4 prelims. You will be back in the library from Monday 4 December (with the exception of S4 who are out on work experience that week).
LOST PROPERTY – OUTDOOR LEARNING
We have accumulated a fair amount of Lost Property, during the course of the year. Should you be aware you may have lost something whilst on an Outdoor Learning activity, please let office staff know and they will check with us. I intend to dispose of the property by the end of term should there be no claimants.

FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL S5 & S6 PUPILS
I will shortly be meeting with senior pupils to discuss alternative assessment requirements for the preliminary examinations in January. Any senior pupil who DOES NOT use alternative assessment arrangements, but who intends to use IT to complete any examinations, should make a point of contacting Mrs Simpson in either the office or the guidance base. Please give her your name and I will contact you shortly to discuss your requirements.
