The most important way that the Parents’ Association raises money is via the 50/50 club. Participants pay £5 per month and every month winner is randomly drawn. Half the contributed money goes to the winner and the other half goes to the Parents’ Association.

In previous years the 50:50 club has raised funds to support a wide range of school activities including:

• funding internet connection for Namadzi school (our partner school) in Malawi,
• setting up a pupil ‘Hall of Fame’,
• supporting the Christmas Dance,
• supporting the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative,
• funding Big Day prizes.

In more recent times the 50:50 club has funded school uniform purchases and the purchase of personal hygiene products.
