RMPS MOSQUE TRIP

There are still a number of spaces left for the RMPS trip to the mosque on Monday 25 March.  If you are interested please collect a permission slip from either Miss Lyon or Miss Graham.  Permission slips and £3 must be in by Friday 22 February to secure your place on the trip.  Please see Miss Graham if there are any issues with meeting this deadline.

PHS DEBATING CLUB PRESENTS: THE S1 SKIRMISH

Today’s debate will be held at 1:00 this lunchtime in Mr Clow’s Room (26) and will feature an entirely first year line up debating the topic This House Believes That School Uniforms Are A Stitch Up. All students are welcome to come and offer their opinion on the argument or just enjoy the show.

REMINDER – DRESS DOWN DAY

The month of February is LGBT history month.  In order to celebrate this, Friday 8 February will be a dress down day to raise money for LGBT Youth Scotland.  Anyone who wants to take part should bring in £1 during registration on this day and give it to their registration teacher.

PE CHANGING ROOMS

A number of pupils have reported items going missing from the PE changing rooms in recent weeks.  We would like to remind pupils from all year groups that they should hand valuables (phones/wallets/purses etc) into their teacher to keep in the PE base prior to the start of a lesson.

S2 SCIENCE CAREERS TRIP

All of the S2 will be going on a day out to the STEM Careers event (free) at the Museum of Scotland, on Tuesday 26 February. Your science teacher should give you a letter and a permission form, to take home and get signed. PLEASE BRING the permission form back as soon as you can. Thank you.

S2 FRENCH

In November all of our French classes visited Rosslyn Chapel to help create links with a local tourist attraction as part of our ’Ma Ville’ topic.  We then produced a poster or brochure about the chapel as part of a competition.  The winning entry was by our pupil in 2C1 with runners up also.  Could the winner please come and see Mrs McEvoy in Room 16 to collect her prize.  Look out for all of the entries being displayed outside Room 16.  Well done everyone who entered the competition!

INTRO TO COLLEGE IN SCHOOLS – (THIS WILL GO AHEAD)

GROUP TRIP TO GRANTON CAMPUS TUESDAY 5 FEBRUARY

The named pupils should meet me at the front of the school (bottom of the stairs) at 11.30am on Tues 5 February. They must either bring their lunch with them or pre-order and collect a lunch from the Bitesite in advance (the Bitesite staff are aware of this).  Bus tickets will be provided to get us there and back and school uniform must be worn.  We will be back at school for 3.25pm!  There are still 3 pupils who need to hand in their parental permission form – no green form, no trip!
