CODE OF CONDUCT

The following Code of Conduct has been produced by the students through discussion with the Head Teacher and the Guidance Staff.

 

Rights Respecting School Award

 

A Rights Respecting School is a community where children’s rights are

  • Learned,
  • Taught,
  • Practised,
  • Respected,
  • Protected,
  • Promoted.

The Rights Respecting Schools Award is a Unicef UK programme that aims to put children’s rights at the heart of schools in the UK and is based on the principles of Equality, Dignity, Respect, Nondiscrimination and Participation. There are 3 stages to the award

 

1.   Bronze

2.   Silver

3.   Gold

 

Penicuik High is relaunching our bid to become a Rights Respecting School.

 

Our aim is to make Penicuik High School a place where children’s rights are recognised and respected by all.

April 23/04/2019 Update

 

Great news UNICEF have confirmed we have achieved the Bronze award. This is excellent news and well done to all involved. We will now start working our way towards Silver.
