MALAWI FACT OF THE DAY:

Malawi is often called the Warm Heart of Africa.  This is because the people are very kind, in fact it has been selected as one of the kindest countries in the world to strangers. This small landlocked country is also one of the safest places in Africa.

MALAWI PARTNERSHIP CELEBRATION DAY

TOMORROW we have a dress down day for our Malawi Partnership Celebration event.  We want to try out a ‘Pay It Forward,’ approach where all students should bring in a minimum donation of £1 to dress down, but if you would like to contribute more than this to support our partnership with Namadzi it would be much appreciated.  We are currently raising money which will allow staff and students from Namadzi to visit Penicuik next June, and also to help fund solar power for Namadzi as they often have no electricity.  There will also be a bake sale as part of a celebration in the assembly hall at breaktime where a musician from Malawi will provide live music.
