PUSHKIN PRIZE FOR CREATIVE WRITING

Congratulations to our S1 pupil , who is one of this year’s winners of the Pushkin Prize. His portfolio of three pieces of creative writing entitled `Andrew the Armadillo`  `Your Mind on Mars` and `The Time Machine` –  caught the judges’ attention out of hundreds of entries from schools across Scotland.

If you haven’t taken a note of what time your exam will be at, please check the notice outside Mrs Andrew’s room (Room 12). Don’t forget to bring your questions on a piece of A4 paper – ensure they are in the correct order. This goes for both N5 and N4!

NURSING INSIGHT DAY SATURDAY 28 APRIL (S4 – S6)

The NHS is holding a Nursing Insight Day on Saturday 28 April for all students interested in a career within Nursing.  This is a full day event from 9.30am – 3.30pm at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh.  Nursing staff will be on hand delivering presentations and practical workshops to students.  If you are interested in attending, please see Mrs Brandie as soon as possible.

ECO-SCHOOLS GROUP

Could all those who attended the last meeting, plus anyone else who would like to make the school more “green” and thinks that they have ideas which could make a difference, please attend a meeting in my room (53) TODAY at 1.10pm. PENICUIK HIGHS SCHOOL’S MARIE CURIE AWARENESS MONTH: DAFFODILS

As you will know, during March Penicuik High School is having a Marie Curie Awareness month.  As a part of this, we will be selling daffodils and we are just reminding you that we need your donation – please give what you want/what you can.  We are going round school selling them until Thursday 29 March. KRAKOW TRIP 2018

A reminder to all those attending the Krakow Trip that the final payment of £285 is due by Wednesday 28 March. Please hand this in to either the office or Miss Docherty.
