YEAR OF KINDNESS

As the evenings grow darker, focus on ways that you can relax at home. Let’s especially focus on ways to relax that don’t involve the use of devices.

SILVER DUKE OF EDINBURGH

This is a reminder that all those who signed up should be attending the meetings on Thursday lunchtimes. This is part of your training and is therefore compulsory if you wish to achieve the award.  Also you need to be adding information/evidence to your eDofE account for your Silver and completing any missing info for your Bronze award.

Malawi Partnership

All pupils involved in the Malawi Partnership:  there will be a meeting next Tuesday 7 November in Room 12 at 1:10pm. Feel free to bring your lunch.

FUNDRAISING GIG

There is going to be a fundraising gig on Thursday 16 November to raise money for Social Bite.  There will be a bake sale at the gig. Tickets are £5 and are available from Burnt Out Records members, the Charities Committee or from the Music Staff Base.  This will take place in the Hub, doors open at 7.00pm.  #10yearsofgigging

S3 BUSINESS LEARNERS

Now that the Micro-Tyco challenge is up and running you should be prepared to update your challenge diary and action plans at the start of next week in our Monday lesson and every Monday throughout the month of November.  If anyone experiences any problems or would like a bit of extra help to do this, please see Mr Connolly in room 32.

SCIENCE CLUB

All S1s are reminded that Science Club is on every Thursday at lunchtime from 1.10pm.  This week we are going to be making fireworks in celebration of Guy Fawkes night.  Come along to Miss Graham’s room 50 in the Science corridor.

S4 PUPILS – ALTERNATIVE ASSESSMENT ARRANGEMENTS MEETINGS

I will be contacting anyone who uses alternative assessment arrangements in examinations next week to ensure we have everything in place to support you during your prelims.  If anyone wishes to use IT to type assessments, you must arrange to meet with me next week to ensure that we have the computers to set up for you on the day of your exam.

LUNCH MONEY REMINDER

Pupils are reminded that early each day they should check they have money in their Smartcard account/with them to cover the cost of their lunch. If your balance is low, please contact a parent/carer to bring money in, or ask the office to phone home for you so it can be handed in and put into your account that day.
